Running Multiple Tomcat instances on single machine

Video ..

Create a folder for tomcat, I will call it $TOMCAT_HOME.
Copy all the tar files inside the $TOMCAT_HOME, which are
• apache-tomcat-7.0.50.tar.gz
• jre-7u51-linux-x64.gz
• jdk-7u51-linux-x64.tar

Please note that jdk-7u51-linux-x64.tar should be extracted to /usr/local/jdk/bin..

cd /home/$USERNAME/
pico .bashrc
export JAVA_HOME=$TOMCAT_HOME/jre1.7.0_51
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
export CATALINA_HOME=$TOMCAT_HOME/apache-tomcat-7.0.50

Copy these folders from apache-tomcat-7.0.50 to tomcat-instance1 folder
tomcat-instance1 folder should be created first
• conf
• logs
• temp
• webapps
• work

cd /home/$TOMCAT_HOME/tomcat-instance1/conf
pico server.xml
change all ports from 80XX to 81XX

cd /home/$TOMCAT_HOME
pico startup-instance1.sh
export CATALINA_BASE=/home/tomcat/tomcat-instance1
cd $CATALINA_HOME/bin
./startup.sh

cd /home/$TOMCAT_HOME
pico shutdown-instance1.sh
export CATALINA_BASE=/home/tomcat/tomcat-instance1
cd $CATALINA_HOME/bin
./shutdown.sh

To make it executable file..
pico startup-instance1.sh
chmod a+x startup-instance1.sh
chmod a+x shutdown-instance1.sh

cd /home/$TOMCAT_HOME
./startup-instance1.sh
./shutdown-instance1.sh

NOTE: easyapache installed and uninstalled, is it affective? Search and try!!
./startup-instance1.sh
./shutdown-instance1.sh
